SUMMER HOLIDAYS
Top of the cable car of the Kédeuze, 1800m
Everything starts from the top of the Kédeuze cable car. After an effortless climb of a few minutes, the benefit is double. Up there, at 1800m high, it’s the departure for many activities (mountaincart, mountain biking, hiking, etc.) and the view on the valley is beautiful. On your left, the Aravis chain with the Pointe d’Areu. On your right, the Mole which predominates away.
Hiking towards the Combe of Airon
Hiking is a must for your summer week in the mountains. On the way to the arrival point, opportunities abound to discover the local flora, admire the landscapes, stop for a souvenir photo or simply to realize that the moment is privileged… The «must»: join the Combe and the lake of Airon.
On the way to Lac de l’Airon
Here, in the mountains, the expression «to get cool» takes all its meaning. Thanks to the altitude, the crazy temperatures of summer are attenuated by the freshness of the reliefs, lakes, rivers and forests. On the path towards the Combe de l’Airon, you walk right in the middle of a horde of spruces that serves as natural air conditioning. You will love it!
The Combe de l’Airon, the must-see spot
The fresh air of the lake, clusters of tadpoles, patient fishermen, cows in the fields, shy marmots, farm animals, the greedy smell of the terrace of the pasture, the view on the Aravis mountains, etc. The place is ideal to enjoy a summer day, an authentic lunch or a picnic in nature. The decor of the Combe de l’Airon makes you naturally feel good!
Relaxing break around the Airon lake
After the effort, the comfort! Whether after a walk or after a good meal shared with family, take the time to do nothing. Around the Lac de l’Airon, tables and benches allow you to sit and simply relax. Lying directly in the grass is of course a recommended option.
View over the Combe de Gron
Other spot, other sensations. This time, your eyes will juggle between the view below on the Arve valley and the view in the air with the paragliders. They too rise to enjoy the most beautiful views of the Carroz, in the Grand Massif. Imagine… you are carried by the wind and you enjoy invaluable minutes of contemplation! So, convinced?
The Mole enthroned proudly in the valley
While hiking, enjoy the facilities such as the orientation tables. You will become familiar with the surrounding mountains. The Mole overlooking the towns of Bonneville and Ayse, at 1863m altitude, is one of the views not to be missed during your summer holidays in Les Carroz.
